Who else is addicted to the Dollar Store? I’m a total sucker for their holiday items, I was SO excited to see that our local Dollar Tree had their Halloween items out so I stocked up because most of the smaller items are great sensory bin fillers or craft supplies. In this activity today everything is from the dollar store aside from the food coloring, but I’m sure you already have that on hand. We took our smaller halloween items like stretchy spiders and bouncy eye balls to make this Halloween Soup Activity. This is super quick and easy to put together and encourages fine motor practice.
Halloween Sensory Bin Ideas For Kids
What I used to make our sensory bin:
- Green Food dye
- Large Tub or Bowl
- Kitchen Utensils
- Cups
- Plastic Eyeballs
- Stretchy Spiders
I took one of their large Halloween bowls and filled it up with water, then added a few drops of green food coloring. Then grab some kitchen utensils like cups, spoons, or even a turkey baster to use for transferring water.
This simple activity kept the kids busy for hours! They loved scooping up the eyeballs, sorting the eyeballs in different cups by colors, and using the turkey baster to squirt aim and squirt the spiders.
