Every holiday I always look forward to making cute homemade treats for my son to take to preschool and our Sunday school class. For Christmas we made our own Hershey’s Kisses Christmas Trees from One Little Project that were such a hit with his classmates! So, for Easter we’re doing our own little twist and making Hershey’s Kisses Carrot Treats featuring Hershey’s Kisses Carrot Cake Candies that came out for the holidays!
#HersheysEaster
These are very easy to make too, using just some tissue paper, card stock, and a little bit of measuring. I added some double sided tape to the bottoms of the kisses to make them more secure, but you could also wrap the carrots up and add a gift tag. You can also use any type of Hershey’s Kisses Candies in these treats but I prefer the Hershey’s Kisses Carrot Cake Candies. The orange wrapper looks the best and they taste just like you’re biting into a piece of carrot cake with a cream cheese icing flavor in the middle. Yum!!
How To Make An Easter Hershey’s Kisses Carrot Treat
Supplies Needed:
- Orange Cardstock Paper
- Scissors
- Double Sided Tape or Glue
- Green Tissue Paper
- Hershey’s Kisses Carrot Cake Candies
- Ruler
Directions: For the triangle you will need three strips cut from the orange card stock. The first piece will be 7″ by 1″ and scored at 2″, 4 1/8″, and 6 1/4″, this is your base strip. The second piece will be 7″ by 1″ and scored every 1″ which will hold your three Hershey’s Kisses Candies. The final piece will be 4″ by 1″ and scored every inch. Next you’ll fold the 7″ x 1″ piece so that it creates 3 triangles for your candy. The smallest piece will be folded so it creates a triangle to hold a single piece of candy. You can use either glue or double sided tape to hold them together.
To attach the Hershey’s Kisses Carrot Cake Candies I put double sided tape on the base of them so they wouldn’t fall out.
Your larger piece that was 7″ x 1″ will be folded in the shape of a triangle. You can then place your folded pieces inside of your base
For the top of the carrot you’ll want to fold your green tissue paper into a square so that there are a few layers of it. I cut a piece about 7″ by 2″ and folded it in opposite directions, then glued the base of it to the top of the carrot. After the glue is dried you can fluff your tissue paper out and pull the layers apart.
You can leave these as is, or wrap them in cellophane and add a cute personalized gift tag!
