Personalized Candy Bar Valentines

February 4, 2017 by Jackie Cravener

My kids and I have been busy making Valentine’s Day treats for their friends, classmates, and teachers. For these ones we wanted to make them extra special and personalize them with their names on the packaging. We used alphabet stickers to add on their names but you could also have the kids write them on instead with black marker. You could easy adapt this treat for any holiday by switching out the color of the scrapbook paper! They’d make perfect classroom treats for Halloween!

Materials Needed:

  • Mini Candy Bars – We used Hershey’s
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Glue
  • Clear Treat Bags
  • Alphabet Stickers (or use a sharpie)
  • Ribbon

Directions:

For these treats I used purple and pink card stock paper, but if you had pretty patterned scrapbook paper that would work great too! Then you’ll want miniature candy bars, and you’ll measure out strips of paper that are long enough to to cover each individual candy bar. Because cutting out these strips can be a bit tedious stack your paper together when you cut your strips to make things go a little faster. Then use glue or tape to secure the paper around the candy bar.

Once you have the amount of candy bars wrapped that you need for the name go ahead and place on your alphabet stickers to personalize them. For the kids that didn’t have a lot of letters in their name, we added in hearts so that they had the same amount of candy bars as everyone else. If you don’t want to use stickers you could also opt for stamps or just writing them in with a Sharpie.

Then I took a white piece of card stock paper and glued the candy bars down on it to spell out the name.

Finally you’ll finish off the treat by placing it in your clear treat bag and tying it with a ribbon! Now, they’re ready to give to your Valentine!
