5 Minute Makeup Routine – Makeup Tips For Busy Moms

May 25, 2016 by Jackie Cravener

Between cuddles, kisses, playtime, dirty dishes, and laundry, there never seems to be enough time for me to ever get myself ready in the mornings. I certainly don’t have time to spend hours getting ready, especially when I have two toddlers who won’t even let me use the bathroom alone.   After having kids I cut my morning routine in half and really a five minute makeup routine is all you need to feel fresh and polished for the day, while faking a full nights rest.

This makeup routine is simple and quick, leaving you feeling gorgeous even while changing diapers and chasing around your toddler.

Keep It Simple. Limit the number of products that you use. The key to a good and quick makeup routine is using multi-tasking products that really work. When it comes to foundation it’s the most important step in my opinion. I personally love using the new bareMinerals’ Complexion Rescue, this lifesaver combines powerful hydration, sun protection, and dewy sheer-to-medium coverage. It’s even a a BB cream, CC cream and tinted moisturizer all-in-one.

image3Complexion Rescue comes in 10 shades and offers mineral-based broad spectrum SPF 30 for sun protection. If you’re like me and awful at picking out the right skin tone for yourself, you can get color matched at your local Ulta store to find the perfect shade!

I love that it helps cover the dark circles under my eyes, my blemishes and evens my skin tone. After you’ve applied your Complexion Rescue you can add a little bit of blush to brighten your face.

When it comes to my eyes I always go for a natural look. I usually curl my lashes and add one or two coats of mascara, then eyeliner. And I finish off my lips with a chapstick or lipgloss. 5 minutes later I’m ready to tackle what the day has in store for me from carpooling, tee ball practice, and running errands.
