Picture a morning where you wake up, you start to get your kids ready and everything’s going perfect, then all of a sudden we have a melt down over putting socks on! Let’s face it if you have a family and a busy day of running errands sometimes nutrition can slip the mind of any busy mother. That’s why I like to have some of our healthy 3 ingredient smoothies on hand for those busy mornings. What’s perfect is not only are they healthy but my picky toddlers love them!
You can change up the fruit in this recipe to your liking, but our families favorite is the strawberry banana.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
– 1/4 Cup Strawberries
– 1/4 Cup Bananas
– 2 Cups of Silk® Vanilla Almondmilk
Simply mix the ingredients together in a blender, blend, and enjoy! This recipe is simple, fast, and loaded with nutrition. We always have Silk® Almondmilk on hand it’s perfect in your morning cereal, and it’s full of healthy benefits. To start Silk Almondmilk tastes better than dairy milk, it’s also verified by the Non-GMO Project, and has 50% more calcium than dairy milk*. It’s also Lactose- free, and is a plant based item so that means no artificial colors and no high-fructose corn syrup. No need to worry about allergies!
Now in this recipe we used Vanilla Almond Milk but there are plenty of other flavors to choose from such as Silk® Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk,Original Almondmilk, Unsweetened Original Almondmilk, dark Chocolate Almondmilk, Silk® Light Vanilla Almondmilk or Silk® Light Original Almondmilk. Aside from being great in smoothies I also use this in my morning coffee and the kids love the Dark Chocolate Almondmilk as a treat!
