I teamed up with a few blogger friends this month to create a craft from a 2 liter soda bottle. I love a good recyclables craft! We made a few animals including a bee, butterfly, and our favorite the lion which I’m going to share with you. It’s super easy to make and you only need a few items along with your soda bottle.

Materials Needed:
– Empty and cleaned two liter bottle
– Gold or yellow paint
– Glue
– Black Marker
– Cardboard
After you’ve cleaned out your soda bottle, cut the bottom of the bottle off like the image above. Make sure an adult is the one cutting the bottle. Next your child can paint the bottle which will be the body of the lion with your yellow or gold paint and let dry.
For the mane and tail, have an adult cut these pieces out of cardboard and then your child can paint on the face and tail. Next take your black marker to draw in the eyes, nose, and mouth. Finally glue your face and tail to the dried two liter you painted.
