In less than 30 minutes you can whip up these Mini Apple Pie Bites that have the same delicious taste as a regular apple pie, but less work! These are perfect for a last minute treat for the holidays or just something fun for the kids!
Early to mid-October is that gorgeous time in between summer and fall, when it’s still warm enough to enjoy a walk in the park and cool enough to curl up on the sofa in sweatpants with some hot tea. While the grocery stores are stocking up on pumpkin spice everything I’m still stuck on hamburgers on the grill, Lipton Sweet Tea, and fruit pies!
My go-to recipe during our summer cookouts were these simple fruit pie bites, what’s great about them besides being pretty much a no-fail recipe, is that you can fill them with any kind of fruit pie filling you’d like. And because this is an easy recipe, the kids can join in too!
The kids are always eager to join me in the kitchen, so I like making snack time a family affair. The best part is when their faces light up when we pull the Apple Pie Bites out of the oven and the sweet aroma fills the room, seeing them so proud of themselves that they made something delicious makes the recipe a million times better.
Mini Apple Pie Bite Recipe
To get started baking here are the ingredients I used to make our Apple Pie Bites:
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 can crescent rolls
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 tablespoons oats
Instructions:
1.Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, butter, and oats. Set aside.
4. Arrange the crescent roll triangles on the baking sheet and evenly distribute the apple pie feeling on each one.
5. Wrap crescent roll around the apple fillings.
6. Top with your crescent rolls with your oats mix.
7. Bake for 14 minutes, or until golden brown.
As a fair warning, it is very hard to eat just one! Usually when I make these during our summer cookouts we pair them with some Lipton Sweet Tea, but during the Fall I love cutting up some fresh apples and adding it to a tall glass of Lipton Green Tea Citrus flavor iced tea. Leave it in the fridge for a few hours to infuse your Lipton Green Tea Citrus flavor iced tea with fresh, crisp apple flavor for a refreshing autumn drink.
