The kids and I love making our own Homemade Playdough, and today we’re sharing our favorite Homemade Unicorn Playdough Recipe! This colorful glittery playdough is the softest recipe EVER. It will also last for months, if kept in an air tight container or bag.

How To Make No Cook Homemade Unicorn Playdough

What you need to make Homemade Playdough:

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Cup Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons Cream of Tarter
  • 2 Tablespoons of Oil
  • 2 Cups Hot Water
  • Glitter
  • Blue, Pink, Purple Neon Food Coloring

Directions:

Dump the flour, salt, cream of tarter, oil and water into a large bowl and mix it all together.

Next, split your play dough into three small bowls. Once your dough cools down you’ll be adding in the food coloring and glitter. We did one bowl of blue, one of pink, and one purple. After you add your food coloring and glitter knead your dough until it’s smooth.

You should have one glittery batch of blue, one glittery batch of purple, and one of pink. The kids preferred to combine all of the colors so we placed them all side by side and used a rolling pin to mix the colors together.

The end result is a glittery masterpiece! We added things like gems, unicorn cookie cutters, silicone cupcake molds for some fun playdough tools for our Unicorn Playdough.

We even found these pretty unicorn beads at Wal-Mart that were perfect for our play dough.

When you’re done playing with your play dough, you can store it in an air tight container or Ziploc bag. Ours has lasted for over a month so far and is still silky smooth!
