Welcome to the quarantine life, a life that would become a part of history once it’s over. So, until then, enjoy it as much as you can. On a positive note, though everything is closed, still the families have got the time to sit together and have fun. Correct? But along with being sweet and amazing, it is thought-provoking, too. Why? Because It’s the time to do something more, especially for your broods who should be kept busy at home so that they don’t get bored.

If you haven’t identified the tactics and ways until now, then you have come to the right place. We have gathered up some exciting tips, tricks, or whatever you call it, in this article, so you can keep your little ones going good in this “24/7 stay at home”.

But before that, follow a random tip, set your time table according to what your kids want, and when.

Now, let’s check the “How-To” section below, where we will thoroughly discuss everything that needs to be included in both of yours (parents and especially the kids) routine. Scroll Down!

  1. Ask Them To Manage Full-Day Schedule

The most important thought of the day is what to do and how to spend your entire day with kids? However, the kids, if you have a point in mind, would most probably tease you for nothing. Don’t spoil moods and ask them to share what they have in their head. For instance, insist them to make a small schedule of their prospective activities in a table form, which they love to do during the day. For this, you can find printable kids plan charts, and our kids just have to fill them.

Tip of the Day! Check them and rectify the tasks they added, just because you might also want to be a part. Wink!

  1. Let Your Kids Spend Energy In Their Room

Well, allowing kids to spend time in the room has a broad perspective, and that is asking them to make their room a cleaned, mess-free place. For little ones, it’s like a happening task to do. Also, make sure you have listed down all the bedroom chores on the notepad, attached to their room’s door, to help them in configuring what to do. These may include:

  • Pick up the dirt, unused papers, and throw them out into the bin.
  • Arrange books on the shelf and keep the study table neat.
  • Make a tour to the drawers and eliminate unnecessary items.
  • Clean the decoration pieces or lamps with some clean dusting cloth.
  • Assemble and fold all the seasonal clothes accordingly in the Closet.
  • Organize the bed sheet and re-locate things in their places.
  • Put shoes in pairs in the shoe rack.

Pro-Tips: a) While they are busy doing things in their room, you can watch your favorite season. b) Make this a routine for them, so they feel more responsible.

  1. Teach Them – Learning Is The Key To Success

No doubt, learning can let your kids reach the highest stars in the sky. So, never stop their learning process even during no-school days. Though, in lockdown, it is quite difficult to manage children’s study/learning time table; however, not impossible. There are plenty of fun ways to make your kids learn impressive things in less time. For this, make a list, AGAIN!

  • You can find Read-At-Home Bingo,
  • Pick up their syllabus and ask them to complete their science project or letter writing.
  • It would be best if you allow them to DIY their favorite games, such as they can make their own play dough, slime, or even board games.
  • They would also love to write about nitty-gritty details of their small daily learnings on the journal.

Pro-Tip: You can also find various online tools that can aid your kids in performing tasks like editing, coding, or even blogging.

  1. Challenge Their Diligence In Kitchen

“Stay-at-home” life is incomplete without getting your little ones involved in the kitchen. Yes, it is not only interesting but helpful. For this, assign them kitchen chores that are easy but take your precious time. With this, the children would feel happy as they feel like helping in the most necessary tasks of their mothers. For instance, make them wash some small dishes, or allow them to mix cake batter for you. More to that, you can ask them to bring you utensils from different corners of the kitchen. No doubt, these things will excite them, and hence, they will feel important themselves.

Pro-Tip: Once they start helping you, not only your time would be saved, but your energy, too.

  1. Indoor Games Are The Best Add-on

The quarantine has given the best opportunity for everyone to utilize their maximum time at home doing different chores, especially kids can do things which they always put on delay due to schoolwork. Indeed, the lockdown is like a dream come true for your children, but how can you make this time entertaining yet useful for them? Well, you can try to invoke love for art and crafts in your kids and make them draw and paint. Also, you can play different ingenious games with your little ones at one sit, like puzzles, UNO cards, or just give them their RC car that drives on walls and enjoy their moves.

You can also turn playing games into an educational time, playing things like Boggle or Hangman. It’s a great way to improve their vocabulary and teach them new words (even if you have to use a word unscrambler, yourself, to stay in the game!).

Pro-Tip: Allow them to learn some gears via youtube videos, as they can find many ideas there that will enhance their creative aesthetics.

  1. Plan A Screen Time For Kids

The most thrilling thing to keep your kids busy during quarantine is to plan their screen time. Indeed, now the kids love spending time on screens, and it helps them to learn plenty of things as well. So, find the best movies or shows to watch for them, so they can be entertained as well as learn from everything they watched. For this, you can find various online tutorials (as discussed above), and also we have a list of some interesting activities:

  • Get an online tour to different places daily, like a virtual tour to museums.
  • Tiktok Videos and Vlogging are now very popular activities for children.
  • You can allow your broods to make a call to their friends.

Pro-Tip: Keep track of their on-screen time and always have control over their search results by connecting it with your mail.

  1. Get Them Indulged In Outdoor Games

Outdoor games can still be possible if you have a yard in front of your house or even a small patio. Undoubtedly, the outside doings would keep your children active. Moreover, games like a treasure hunt, a Scavenger hunt, or hide & seek would help them to use their mind tricks, and physical activities like swimming in a portable pool, cycling, or playing with pets would aid in recreating happiness. Also, they can make a DIY cardboard fort to spend some royal time there. Hence, outdoor games can be totally fun. So, allow them to play out of your house in the evening when there is less sweating. Also, you can join them by having some delicious evening snacks together.

Pro-Tip: Since they are outside, so make sure that they are fully covered, and following all the precautions given, such as, check if your kids are wearing a mask on face, gloves on hand, or if they are maintaining social distancing.

  1. Ask Children To Plant A Tree Or A Flower

Gardening and digging are kid’s best time-pass activities and become more fun and entertaining when little giants get along with their parents in these tasks. All you need to tell them is about some gardening rules and ask them to dig the treasure out of the land. Not only this, but they can also help you in sowing seeds, or watering plants. Moreover, you can indulge them in the weeding process by which they can learn different plant conditions. Therefore, you would guide your kids to learn maximum about gardening and its tips with such little tips.

Pro-Tip: Let them do the chore, and in the meanwhile, you can have your me-time with the cup of coffee in hand.

  1. Let Them Enjoy The Picnic At The Roof

Sounds exciting and rejoicing? Yes, it is, and thus, a picnic at the roof is more fun when you have a wide space where you can enjoy the sunny days. Also, you and your children can cook the barbeque, have a family feast in there. Furthermore, you can arrange a small party where you would dance, play and can do whatever pleases you and your little ones. Therefore, it is considered as the most mindful and wonderful activity, especially for summers and again for this quarantine.

Pro-Tip: Your kids may also have a late-night movie time at the roof on a bigger screen by arranging a projector.

  1.  Let Your Kids Explore More

Your children love to do different things every now and then. So, for this, we have elucidated some ideas, in which both of you and your kids can get involved. With this, everyone would have good family time at home. Below, together, you could relish some wonderful things:

  • Chase the bugs and flies.
  • DIY your summer wreath or friendship bracelets.
  • Listen to nature like birds chirping, or rain-water dropping.
  • Opt for morning yoga steps and get smart.

And many more…

By following the ideas mentioned above, you can make your kids stay at home, a better one. With this, you would have a great time together that will definitely induce spark in your relationship and make it stronger than before.
