This holiday wrapping post has been sponsored by Office Depot but all opinions are my own.
When it comes to the holidays I’m last minute with everything from Christmas shopping, sending out late Christmas cards, and always wrapping the Christmas gifts the night before. This year because my son’s older and loves to help out with everything I wanted to include him in on some holiday fun. So to get all of our holiday tasks out of the way in one night we made a fun kids holiday workshop that included a gift wrapping station, Christmas card making, and of course some tasty holiday treats.
I stopped at our local Office Max to pick up some of our holiday essentials for our holiday workshop which include:
– Washi Tape
– Wrapping Paper
– Masking Tape
– Scissors
– Pens/Markers
– Ribbon
– Gift Tags
– Cards
First we started off with some adorable homemade Christmas cards using some washi tape and footprint art! To make this simple holiday card you’ll start by folding a piece of card stock in half. Decorate with some festive washi tape. On a piece of construction paper I had my son make a green footprint that I then cut out and glued onto the cardstock paper. Have your child decorate the green footprint into a Christmas tree! We included our kids photos with Santa inside the card along with a holiday greeting.
Of course you can use any kind of Christmas art with this, but if you’re looking for more fun Christmas card ideas check out our 15 Kid Made Cristmas Cards here for a round up of some of our favorites we gathered from Pinterest!
I also set up a wrapping paper station and kept it as simple as possible, because my son’s three and wanted to do a more personalized gift for his father, we created some custom art gift wrap. Using white gift wrap (or turning gift wrap inside out) roll the paper out and have your little ones go crazy and decorate using markers/crayons/stickers.
Some other ideas for personalized gift wrap can include making homemade stamps, tie dye, cookie cutter art, and more that you can find here at The Realistic Mama and 18 Kid-Made Gift Wrap Crafts
Gift wrapping was so much fun including the kids, of course Santas gifts are still waiting to be wrapped. But at least all of our friends and families gifts are taken care of!
