At the moment my son’s favorite movie is Monster’s Inc, so being that handprint and footprint crafts are one of his favorite activities we made some Monster’s Inc inspired art to go along with the movie! I’m by no means an artist, but Sully and Mike were pretty simple to make and depending on your child’s age they can do that part themselves. I think the end result came out pretty cute, I used my 1 year old daughters footprint for Sully so that it was something they could make together and added “Our Little Monster’s” to the final photo so that we could display it in our home!
Monster’s Inc Inspired Footprint & Handprint Kids Art

Materials Needed:
– Paint
– Cardstock
– Little Feet/Hands
– Scissors
– Black Marker
Directions:
First your child will paint their foot or hand the color that they’d like for their monster. Next apply the hand or foot to the white card stock paper and let dry.
Next add in the monster’s details. We went with monster’s inspired by Monster’s Inc but you can have the kids design anything they’d like! After the paint’s dried you’ll cut around the print and glue it onto a piece of card stock. I always do the print’s on a separate piece of paper and then glue on the final piece because with toddlers it usually takes a few tries to get a good footprint or handprint.
I added “Our Little Monsters” to the top of the finished piece.
This would even make a cute keepsake for Mother’s Day or Father’s day! Check out our example below:
