Income Breakdown
As you may have noticed for October’s total revenue we thankfully have recovered from September’s drop in revenue. We made some slight changes to our ad networks in October as well. The first change was that we decided to drop BlogHer and the other change I’m personally excited about was us joining BuySellAds. For those of you have haven’t heard of BuySellAds or read my article on how to increase your ad revenue. BuySellAds works as more of a direct middle-man for selling your ad space to advertisers. You’re allowed to set up your own marketplace listing where you can set your own prices for each of your ad spaces you list. Advertisers can then either buy an ad space for a monthly fixed-price or they can even just buy a certain number of impressions. Another advantage with BuySellAds is that you can set it up so advertisers can buy ad space directly on your website.
For October, Jackie has been taking full advantage of sponsored posts, which are a great way to easily increase your monthly earnings. Not only do you get paid for writing one or two articles, but sometimes you can get some awesome new products to try out for free, but the main advantage would have to be how you get the chance to establish and build relationships with major brands.

Traffic Breakdown
October’s traffic was lower this month, which is from the drop in Facebook traffic. Thankfully, there is a silver lining in our referrals overview with an increase in traffic from Pinterest. The drop in traffic from Pinterest in September was due to a major update that seemed to affect a lot of other bloggers as well. Our rise in traffic from Pinterest could be from multiple different factors. Which could range from one or more of Jackie’s posts getting popular on Pinterest or even from Jackie’s increase in Pinterest followers. We started to schedule some of the older posts with Viral Tag that weren’t getting much traffic anymore and so far it has turned out to be a great way to revive our older posts.
Plans, Closing Remarks, and Some Rambling…
For my closing remarks this month I don’t really have much to discuss besides our recent approval into another ad network, The Blogger Network. We are excited to join this ad network because we have heard only great things about them. They are supposed to have some of the best rates around and they have some other features that seem very promising, which I will discuss in Novembers Income Report. We plan on replacing our Adsense ads with this new ad network, but we still plan on selling ad space through BuySellAds.
Don’t forget to leave a comment if you have any questions or advice! I’m also curious if anyone has experience with The Blogger Network, it would be awesome to get some more opinions on it.
