If you couldn’t tell from our Water Color Resist Spider Web, we love using this paint resist technique. Simply because it’s one of the easiest paint techniques for my toddler to do. So when we were decorating our pumpkins this week, that we usually just paint I thought we would do things a little different this time and try the paint resist technique with our pumpkins.
For this craft you can use just regular painters tape or use sticker printer paper. First you will use a program like Microsoft Word and type out your childs name. Make sure your using a font that is thick and bold so that it will show up better on the pumpkin. Next you’ll print it off on sticker paper. Cut around your design and then apply it to the pumpkin.
Let your child paint and go crazy! Once they’re done painting, let the pumpkin dry overnight. When the paints completely dry, peel off the stickers to reveal your design underneath! I love simple holiday art that the kids can do!
Make sure to pin this activity for later! And to remember for next year. Don’t forget to follow our Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving board on Pinterest for more fun kids crafts and activities!
