This post is part of the Kids Craft Stars monthly challenge, so be sure to check out some of the other creative button crafts at the end of this post! Or tag us on Instagram with the #kidscraftstars hashtag to share some of your favorite button crafts.

For our button challenge we reused an old cd and some buttons to create these colorful snails!

Materials Needed:

  • Buttons
  • CD
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Glue
  • Pipe Cleaner
  • Googly Eyes
  • Black Marker

Directions:

To start you’re going to cut out a shape for your snail out of cardstock paper. Make sure to make it big enough to leave some room so that you can glue it to your cd.

If you don’t have an old cd to reuse for this craft you can use a piece of cardboard, just cut it into a circle big enough for the snails shell.

Cover the cd in glue and decorate it with your buttons. Then for our snails face you can glue on pipe cleaners, some googly eyes, and draw on your mouth.
