I love little boys with long hair I think it’s the cutest thing, so I refused to cut Jace’s hair forever. He finally had his first hair cut right before Easter. And no I never let it get to a mullet status I’d always trim that up a bit but besides that he had never actually had a ‘real’ haircut. So my husband finally talk me into it and because we had family pictures around Easter I thought it was about time. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be one of those mom’s that cry, save their first hair, or just take a million pictures of the same thing. Because after becoming a mom I’ve realized just how emotional I can be over these types of things! But I ended up just taking a million pictures :] I wanted to make the occasion special for Jace though, because firsts of everything are something you cherish and will always remember. So one of our dear friends made Jace his own little First Hair Cut Award and we had a little ‘Graduating Babyhood’ Ceremony, with a balloon and he received his award and his favorite lollipops after his haircut.
He was so proud of himself and so was mommy, I was waiting for the look of fear in his face when he seen the clippers coming towards him but he was a little angel!
Needless to say this picture is two months later and his long locks are back. Now that he’s trying to wear his sisters head bands we may have to take another trip to the barber!

This is very cute and could have come in handy when my son got his first haircut.. HIs hair was down to his kneed at 6 months old!

I know what you mean about not cutting hair. My youngest boy didn’t get his first haircut until after he turned 2. 🙂 I still miss his long hair.
OMG he looks so cute. My sons first haircut was only a few months ago and he is 6 years old. It was a major event because he had hair past his knees we donated all the hair to locks of love.

He is a cute little dude. I just organized my kids’ memorabilia the other day and found their first haircut certificates. It’s amazing to see how their hair color has changed since then. Printables are a cute idea.
